Kilimanjaro climbing 7 Day Trek Lemosho Route. Your life changing adventure will start from Arusha or moshi . Then to Londorossi gate up to the world’s highest free standing mountain (Uhuru peak). This is the one of the most preferred route due to its low traffic. Also, with beauty scenery and high summit success rate.
Day 1:Londorossi Gate(7800ft) to Forest Camp (9500ft)
You will depart from Arusha or Moshi to Londorossi gate for registration. Then after, you will continue to Lemosho trail head. Here you will trek to the first camp (forest campsite) for overnight.
Day 2:Forest Camp to Shira Camp 1 (11500ft)
Early in the morning your second day trek will commence through the trail leading out of forest to Savannah of tall grasses, heather, and volcanic rock draped with lichen beards. You will continue passing several streams to shira Ridge before dropping to Shira camp 1 for overnight. Here you will have a amazing view of kibo.
Day 3: Shira Camp 1 to Moir Hut (13800ft)
You will explore one of the highest plateau in the earth(shira plateau) towards kibo’s glaciated peak. This leads to Shira camp 2 there after you will continue too Moir Hut on the base of Lent hills. This make the good acclimatization opportunity.
Day 4:Moir Hut to Barranco Camp 13000ft.
After breakfast you will continue trekking to the east up a ridge passing the junction towards the kibo peak. As you continue the direction change to south east towards the Lava tower then after short distance you will met another junction up to Arrow glacier at 16,000f then you will descend to 13,000f At Barranco hut for overnight.
Day 5:Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp.
Early in the morning you will leave the camp continue on the steep ridge passing Barranco wall to Karanga valley camp thereafter as you ascend you meet the junction to Mweka trail and then short time hike to Barafu Hut where you will view the summit from different angles and also you will see the two peaks of mawenzi and kibo from this position.
Day 6:Barafu Camp to Summit
Early in the midnight you will continue your roue to the summit through Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers and ascend to Stella Point on the crater rim . there after you will continue to the highest point (Uhuru Peak) on Mount Kilimanjaro and the African Continent where you will have fun and take more photos. Then from the summit you will descend to Mweka camp through Barafu campsite.
Day 7:Mweka Camp to Arusha/ Moshi
Your last day will start early in the morning after breakfast and hike back to Mweka gate where you will be registered and awarded summit certificate, if you will manage to reach Uhuru peak you will be awarded Gold certificate and if you reach Stella point you will be awarded green certificate and then drive back to moshi or Arusha.
